Mickey Mouse must make a comeback, perhaps in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. If we all make a big enough deal on the internet, Disney may hear it and put him in the next inevitable quadrilogy.
As most industry insiders are aware, the current Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy is a prelude, a type of elaborate prologue to a much richer story involving the search for oneself, as Jack delves deeper into his own pschosis and becomes institutionalised for being his existentialist self. The Foucaltian direction of this narrative will help audiences aks the question: is madness a health problem or a particular form of intelligence?
It may also be useful for the secind trilogy to explore the issues of pedagogy subtly prevalent within the original movies.
Any discussion would be welcome as long as it is intellectual and offered only after serious deliberation of the key issues raised. Any other topic of debate on the Pirates Of the Caribbean movies is also welcome, as I do not want to direct this thread in any way!

The whole intention of art such as this is to initiate public debate in forums such as this.
I invite opinions of all visitors to his page to share their thoughts, but I suggest we conduct an intelligent deconstruction of this movie and open a very serious and intelligent discussion.
God vest all thy power into Mickey Mouse, and show us the way to enshrine him as a deity!

athis is an excelent Disney movie, and it's impending sequel promises to be evn more spectacular. Most of the people around now should consider themselves fortunate enough to be able to experience this cultural event in theatres on its initial release. In years to come stories of having seen these films would become a source of fascination amongst our subsequent generations.

Apart from anything else, this trailer is a great showcase for the film's special effects. It features some very impressive sequences and if you have not seen the movie, this trailer would most certainly convince you to purchase an officila Disney DVD. God Bless the Walt Disney Corporation for being the only major film studio capable of producing art.

This trailer is a work of art, like all good things before it, such as Mozart's Piano Concerto 21 in C major, and the Parthenon marbles. I don't know how the famed statue of Zeus would have compared but Balthus would have certainly tried harder to produce an equivalent wonder. Not only was the movie an enjoyable experience with a very strong dramatic structure, this trailer is a beautifully condensed version of the stimulating story. This video allows you to appreciate the entire scope of thematic endeavour that takes place in this cinedrama. The nuances of Johnny Depp's perfectly realised Jack Sparrow reveal both his vulnerabilities and idiosyncrasies. Orlando Bloom shows how he could deliver a perfectly balanced performance, reminding us of Olivier and even that great thespian of the past Carey Grant. Kieira Knightley appears both sultry and violent, and creates very thought provoking subtext for her character, journeying into the unknown to save her lover. This trailer conveys the dissimulated struggle of a woman losing the stability of her life and sacrifing everything. As a female character, Knightley creates a fascinating portrait of a woman, whose life's events, at every juncture, compel her to renegotiate her relation with the social world in which men are the doers of deeds. This trailer is a perfect substitute for the film, and in many ways it is better as it creates suspense and excitement and brings so many issues into the forefront which would undoubtedly be debated within the public sphere for generations. From an ontological perspective, the very nature of 'being in the world of beings' is put into question, as the key characters leave their normative lifestyles behind and take on new challenges and explore new ways of being. To end this evaluation here would be doing its producers a gross injustice, and there is so much left unsaid. The way we think of the Bauhaus and our views on the cultural importance of the works of Rodin and Rachmaninov is simply because they innovated and broadened the boundaries of their discipline. Although Bruckheimer has demonstrated he is in ample supply of creativity time nd time again, he perfects the form of movie trailers by delivering a product that in itself merits the greatest admiration and praise. Had he been English he would have been knighted, and in the absence of such accolade I suggest the US introduce an equivalent honorary system and bestow Mr Bruckheimer with his long overdue trinket.
Whilst the movie is the cinematic equivalent of Hamlet, this trailer is nothing less than Marlowe's Faust.
Anyone visiting this site, I suggest you download it and experience the glory of human creativity, this wonderful concoction of human issues and fantasy. In a way it allows us to ascend and reconsider the various layers of ourselves and how we would behave if our circumstances changed, and this is the hallmark of all great art, as it strives to both entertain and challenge us to question the most fundamental things we believe in. If it does not change your value system, it would certainly exercise your mind and compel you to face who you are.

I am only kidding! It's a cool trailer though!
